What is CIP cleaning system and what are its technical points?
CIP (cleaning in place) is a kind of technology to clean the equipment, pipelines and valves in place without disassembly.At present, the modern beer brewery at home and abroad generally adopts the CIP cleaning system for equipment, containers and pipes. Its advanced nature is that it does not need to disassemble equipment and pipelines, and the cleaning liquid and the cleaned equipment are connected by fixed pipelines, forming a closed system, and then recycling cleaning, instead of manual operation. The whole process of cleaning is transiting to automation and program control.CIP cleaning system mainly includes recovery tank, alkali or acid tank, bactericide tank, sterile water tank, etc.
The performance requirements of CIP cleaning system are as follows.
① The volume of storage tank shall meet the requirement of 10 min working flow of cleaning pump.
② The capacity of the reflux pump in the system is 20% ~ 30% higher than that of the output pump to prevent the accumulation of cleaning fluid. ③The storage tank itself shall be equipped with cleaning device and sewage device, overflow pipe and vent shall be set, and the exhaust shall be led to the outside.
④ CIP system equipment is equipped with observation corridor and ventilation and lighting facilities.
⑤ Acid and alkali tanks and tanks with corrosive medium shall have obvious safety and emergency signs. There should be liquid level gauge, thermometer and other measuring and display instruments in the tank to monitor the operation of CIP system.
⑥ Sampling valves are set up in acid, alkali and sterilant tanks to check the concentration regularly.
The main technical points of CIP cleaning system are as follows.
① Cleaning agent can be divided into one-time use and recycling use. Generally, the recycling cleaning method is adopted. The amount of cleaning agent is small, the energy consumption is low, but the land occupation is large, and the one-time investment is high.
② Cleaning temperature is divided into cold cleaning and hot cleaning. Cold cleaning is often used for large containers, while hot cleaning is used for small containers, pipelines and equipment. For large volume equipment such as fermentor, the cleaning temperature should not be higher than 45 ℃.
③ Cleaning device. Generally, the cleaning device is used to clean the conical tank. The cleaning effect mainly depends on the chemical action of the cleaning agent. There are three kinds of cleaning devices: fixed ball washer, rotary ball washer and rotary jet washer. The cleaning device plays an important role. It is necessary to select the appropriate cleaning device according to its own production characteristics, process requirements, shape and size of fermentation container.
④ Compared with other cleaning methods, the tank washer has powerful spraying and high efficiency cleaning effect, which can save cleaning time, reduce the consumption of water and cleaning agent, and has no self pollution. Using high-pressure rotary jet to clean the dirt on the inner wall of wort boiling pot and heater, or cleaning the scale on stainless steel fermentation tank, combined with EDTA alkaline cleaning agent, the effect will be better.
